Try this for the original vid.  Sometimes the spaces in the file name can mess things up.  I still have the slo mo zoom vid... just drop me an IM with your email.

But I thought the 5.56mm round wouldn't kill anybody or stop an Iraq male!

Maybe somebody has said this, but why in the world would this guy pick the middle of the street to launch a RPG? There is cover and concealment, then this idiot picks the one place he will surely be shot.

I e-mailed this video to my father and he replied with precisely the same thing. Have you heard the term "suicide by cop?" He called it "suicide by jarhead"

And before anyone gets upset at the jarhead remark, my old man is a Vietnam war 0311 who says it with affection

Don't sweat it.  "Jarhead" is (and always has been) a perfectly proper and legitimate term with which to refer to jarheads.

The last thing that went through the RPG gunner's mind (before the Lake City 5.56) was "Heck - I should be okay settin' up in the middle of the street !".

So much for situational awareness.  Despite an RPG - you don't own the street.

I just don't understand the concept that their is no fredom of speech this is a gun site forum not a church social.  I just dont understand what so racial about saying that 90 % of these people hate us or that the majority of them think were(non muslims) less than human. Does the site staff really belive that these people are all good guys or are they just afraid big brother is whatching.

for gods sake rules were made to be broken

Thanks Benchrest1000!

From the elapsed time between the shots ringing out and the impacts I would have to guess that the engagement was at 100 yards or less.  Obviously it was too close to duck.

If it was a HUMVEE engagement then it was probably a 7.62 round out of a M-240.

How do I utilize the codecs to play the video?

Just download and install it, MS Media Player will be able to play it then.  Make sure you run Adaware or Spybot after you install Divx, the free version comes with Gator, a known adware.

A couple of comments,...

The image shown above shows a tracer boucing off the ground BEHIND the rat-F---, it does not hit him.  If you listen carefully, you can hear the richcet of that tracer round, too.

Does anyone have a translation of the reporters comments?  It's in Spanish (not Mexican- Spanish, but real, Castillian Spanish).

My wife saw the video and said something about "he just got shot?  I thought he should be vaporized!"  You have to admit, I married the right kind of gal.

Someone IM'd me for the videos yesterday, but I forgot ARFCOM automatically deletes unsaved messages at 4am eastern.  So I lost the guy's email... arggh.  If anyone still can't find the vids, just drop me your email in my IM box.  I'll be sure to save the messages this time and email you the vids within half a day.
