YES, HKOCHER, I AM TOLD THAT YOUR BRAKE PASSED THROUGH HERE. BUT IT IS ONE OF THE LONGER ONES DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH A KAC SHIM KIT. WE'VE NEVER HAD THE SHORTER ONES MADE TO WORK WITH THE CRUSH WASHERS. YES, THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS. SEE HOW THREADS SHOW  SLIGHTLY INSIDE THE BRAKE? IT WON'T AFFECT ITS FUNCTION, BUT WE CAN RUSTLE UP A KAC SHIM KIT IF YOU LIKE.

THE SPR MK 12 MOD 0 AND MK 1 CLONE UPPERS WE BUILD ARE SOMETHING WE DO MORE OUT OF OUR OWN PERSONAL INTEREST IN THE CONCEPT OF LIGHT BUT ACCURATE GAS GUNS THAN OUR BOTTOM LINE. SPR UPPER BUILDING ACCOUNTS FOR SINGLE PERCENTAGE DIGITS IN SALES, BUT HIGH DOUBLE DIGITS IN THE OVERALL SATISFACTION CATEGORY. IT WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

BESIDES, I'VE GOT A DAY JOB.

THE INDIVIDUAL WHO MADE A MOCK-UP OF THE OPS INC 12TH MODEL SUPPRESSOR DID SO WITH OPS INC'S PRIOR APPROVAL. IT IS NOT A WORKING EXAMPLE OF A SUPPRESSOR INCORPORATING PATENTED FEATURES, MERELY A DIMENSIONALLY CORRECT MOCK-UP. IN ACCORDANCE WITH B.A.T.F. REGS, IT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A HOLE ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT.

THE AIRSOFT COPIES OF THE PATENTED OPS INC 2-PORT BRAKES, WHILE NOT APPROVED BY OPS INC, ARE NOT WORKING EXAMPLES OF MUZZLE BRAKES. AIRSOFT RIFLES ARE NOT FIREARMS.

ON THE OTHER HAND, THE ADCO COPY OF THE PATENTED OPS INC 2-PORT BRAKE IS A FUNCTIONAL MUZZLE BRAKE ON A WORKING FIREARM. I MUST SAY THAT IT IS A VERY GOOD COPY, TOO, VERY ARTFULLY DONE. I AM AMAZED THAT SO MUCH CAN BE GLEANED FROM A PHOTOGRAPH. STEVE, YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY A TALENTED INDIVIDUAL.

ONCE AGAIN, THE OPS INC BRAKES ARE PATENTED. I AM SIMPLY TRYING TO OFFER SOME USEFUL INFORMATION. THERE'S NO HIDDEN AGENDA HERE.

At the Lima club shoot on Saturday, I was using Black Hills 68gr BTHP Moly.

To clear the air some; I never intended to cause such a controversy. I merely wanted something that I couldn't get anywhere else (at this time). I've had Adco build a few one-off items for me in the past, and knew they could pull it off. This was not a money-making scheme devised by Steve to undercut anyone's sales. Steve just doesn't do that sort of thing. I commissioned this item, and once I saw how it looked I just had to show it off. Maybe I'll think twice about that on any future projects.

Division is the last thing we need in the "black-rifle community." Believe me, this project is the sincerest form of flattery, and merely a proposed option for those of us of lesser means.

The collar is the ring that mounts behind the muzzle brake, and butts up against the front sight tower. The original is made my OPS Inc.

It's designed to give the sound suppressor a shoulder against which to tighten.
