The forward mounted red dot/Ultimak combo on my SAR-1 just doesn't work well for my aging eyes anymore.  I'm thinking about switching to either a Primary Arms 3x microprism or 1-6X scope.  What do you think?  The rifle is really just a range toy.

I’m debating this same thing. The primary arms special purchase 1-6x just popped up for sale with the 7.62x39 reticle for $199 so I jumped on it. It’s a hell of a deal for a Philippine made scope. If I don’t like it on the AK I’ll move it to a 300 blackout AR15, and get the 3x micro for the AK.
