This was  my experience on Black Friday (I am the customer & this is what I wrote to the seller). It is best to not wait for Black Friday or you might have my experience.


I would like to thank all 3 of you for a reply to my e-mail messages. Except for the font & signature all 3 were exactly the same.

It is your business, not mine & you have every right to run your business as you see fit (in spite of all the government regulations, road-block & attempts to abolish all ammunition sales).

I would like to offer a suggestion for any future sales & especially Black Friday. Please post on your e-mail message announcing the sale(s) something like the following: Warning, your attempts to purchase any sale item(s) will more than likely be unsuccessful & will probably result in complete frustration as our systems cannot handle the volumes of customers (you might not want to include the next 7 words) within three seconds after the sale starts.

This is one customers experience. The customer received our Black Friday e-mail message advertising the sale. The customer was going to bed early (2 hours & 38 minutes before the sale started) but decided to stay up to make a purchase of the sale items. The customer brought up the XXXXXXX.com site hours before the sale started by clicking on the link to the sale. The customer saw the item he wanted to purchase but the quantity was zero. Knowing the sale started at midnight, he logged into his account to be ready. The quantity was still zero at 1 minute until midnight & even at 2 seconds after midnight the quantity was still zero. Then at 3 seconds after midnight the volume was at 24 items for sale. The customer quickly added a quantity of one (the limit) to his shopping cart. The system tried to bring up the next page in the order process but the site was unavailable. The customer kept trying, but it failed to even bring up the order page. He was successful in getting to the order page 4 times; the next unsuccessful attempt showed 20 items for sale; the next unsuccessful attempt showed 12 items for sale; the next unsuccessful attempt showed 0 items for sale at 12:13AM. He even e-mailed a message at 12:08AM with a quick message about the problem hoping to get some assistance (he felt his message was futile as the workers would be extremely busy). The customer checked all of the items he thought about purchasing at 12:13AM, but all 5 of the products showed a zero quantity. The sale was completely over by 12:13 AM or before. At that time he could see his cart with the item in his shopping cart with a note "* This product is currently out of stock.". Needless to say after all the frustration of being unsuccessful after being completely prepared, logged in, unable to make a purchase because the XXXXXXX.com system was unable to handle the sale 3 seconds after it started, receives canned replies to his e-mail messages including "Take care and have a wonderful holiday season." & "I apologize for the inconvenience! Due to an overwhelming amount of traffic on our website". The customer was unable to sleep after the terrible ordeal with his decision to stay up to participate in the sale.

Again, thanks for replying & I sincerely hope you consider adding something like my suggestion to your sale announcement messages. I also hope you consider my suggestion based on a true story of one customers experience with your sale. I wish you great success with your business, apology accepted & take care and have a wonderful holiday season.

Please no canned reply or unwarranted comments as I offer my message without malice & with sincerity. I do think you need to know the level of frustration created by the system's inability to handle the load when canned replies seem to ignore the frustration & are completely inconsiderate. This was a terrible nerve racking experience. I know that future non-sale purchases will be better.

The 20 round box is definitely not a deal.

The big ammo seller at the gun show in Salt Lake City is selling 1000 rd case of Wolf for $199 + tax.  About $215 a case.  Cheapest I have seen it in a while.
