WASR-10. Traditional to the 'T'. Added the 'Prepare' sticker to remind me when I shoot it that this is why I am shooting or something along those lines..

I just picked up the latest guns and ammo book of ak 47's and the rifles in there are out of this world. It's hard to tell if their actually ak's. So much of this tactical stuff it's hard to tell. I don't care in the least about any of the add-on accessorys an am a traditionalist all the way. I'm just not into the adjustable stock and railed handgaurds and all the other gee gaws that people put on their rifles. Ascope is fine but it doesn't have to be mounted on a railed system. Use the rail mount on the rifle itself that's what it's for'. Sorry for ranting and raveing but an ak should look like an ak. Madtechcool

Agree on all above.  I had my "fun" with trying to tacticool an ak but in the end I came to realize that an ak is better kept as is and how it is intended.  Im all for making a weapon system as effective as it can be, but for the most part ak's are perfect for their intended purpose as they come from the factory.  They have been dropping bodies at the cyclic rate for 6 decades now without any user modifications.  For best results, just add ammo...

Honestly as much as i hate tacticool AK's, i think if i had to do it, it would be on an AMD-65 just because i dont think it can get any uglier. Im talking just changing the forearm to a rail and the grip to a regular one. Something about the angled grip on that thing that bugs me.

I much prefer the traditional look of the AK, but a lot of people who use these rifles for a living put this "tactical stuff" on their rifles for a reason, not because they are concerned about looking "traditional" or "tactical"  Not every AK has a rail mount out of the box.
