hey, guys does anyone have dimensions, at least approximate ones, for 545 ak quadstack magazines, as i want to make a 3d model for printing them?
i would prefer for them to be for the 60rounders, but 50 rounders are good as well.... thanks for help in advance, BENTSCH |

Which ones do you need, I have a cheap first gen pufgun 5.45 quad stack mag. It's all poly so I bought it more as a novelty than anything else.

OP, whatever hosting services you're using are stripping the file ending off, so ARFCOM won't display it. You have to provide a link to the actual file, not the page the file is displaying on.

Here is the bottom of the mag taken apart. Attached File A pretty basic spring is used to push the follower up, the top of the spring has a flat surface which I'll get to in a second. Attached File Inside the mag you can see a front rib as the follower doesn't actually go all the way to the front of the mag. I suspect the diamond shape is to keep the follower aligned when the mag goes from double to quad stack. Attached File In the bottom of the follower there are two pivoting surfaces which force the "wings" to open when the follower gets farther down the inside of the mag. Note the two tabs at the bottom which sit on either side of the rib on the back of the inside of the mag, particularly at the diamond shaped area. Attached File The "wings" in the closed position when the follower is in the double stack part of the mag. Attached File And finally the wings in the open position when in the quad stack part of the mag. As I said earlier the wings are always trying to open when the follower spring is providing upward tension, which is how they "open" when the mag widens up. Attached File |
