Looks very nice ! Damn, just got my stamp approved today and you guys are out of stocks. I didn't want to buy it and have it in my possession till after approval.

It's gorgeous -
Just sent you a message via FB in regards to that sexy little number. |

I like it a lot. I am currently using an MI on my mini Draco and would switch over to yours only if I can get my flash hider to fit inside your hand guard. It is the Projector from Damage Industries and really made for the PAP but I am using a thread adapter. Can you tell me what the inside clearance dimensions are on your hand guard? Need to know if the projector will clear the inside portion.
Thanks, MadDog |

Thanks, MadDog View Quote Inside clearance on the flange is 1.00" width at the moment (I am going to open it up to about 1.2" so a Bulgarian 4 piece will fit in there), and it is 0.360" deep. Didn't think about the clearance issue on the 4 piece, thanks for pointing that out (and one of the reasons I posted pics before we start cutting chips- easier to modify now during final design!) Yup, getting rid of my jury rigged midwest industries MRDS rail for this.
I feel like the handstop is a little blocky, could do with being a little smoother/rounded aesthetically. That's just me though. |

That's just me though. View Quote We are rounding the edges a touch more on it, it is easier to start with more material and remove on a prototype than the other way around. The size is based on the minimum profile we can do while still actually functioning as a handstop. We tried a larger radius on the backside, but your hand would literally just slide right past it like a kid on a waterslide. |
|
If I forgot to mention it, that hole in the handstop isn't just for looks, it is a QD sling swivel pocket.
Should have the pricing worked up in a few days, and then chips start flying! |

Sven Manticore Arms Just measured my brake and it is 1.2" in diameter so you would have to open the hand guard up to a true 1.25" in order for the Damage Industries "projector" to work. As far as the hand stop goes you could always "start" with it thicker then it is and then radius the back side so it curves back. That at way your hand will slide into a backwards facing hook. Thanks, Dan |

Looks great Sven! By chance have you tried mounting a TRS-25 on the rail, I am curios if it will co witness with the irons. Thanks

So, any chance of a cowitness picture? View Quote You should just be able to see the sights with an Aimpoint Micro mounted (and a Bushnell TRS-25 too). Depending on how your front sight post is adjusted you might need to raise the rear elevation just a bit to see it well, but if your optic is down and you have to transition to irons on a Mini Draco, well, I assume most people won't mind if their shot is an inch high at 50 yards...on a Mini Draco pistol. |

I like it. But, just out of curiosity, why did you guys choose the keymod over the mlok?

I like it. But, just out of curiosity, why did you guys choose the keymod over the mlok? View Quote Because keymod accessories outnumber m-lok accessories 10-1 right now, and quite honestly those big, long m-lok slots look put of place on such a short handguard. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Looks killer, priced right I would ditch my MI rail pretty quick!

Will this fit a Standard Draco? I SBR'd my Draco C and have the MI front end on it, but this I like better.

Are you guys going to make one for regular krinks or will this work as well for say the SLR 104-UR

No, the standard Draco would use a standard ALFA rail lower, but the upper shown would fit (the standard ALFA rail upper would not fit) View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

FWIW, whenever we post a picture of a new forend for an AK, no matter what new model of AK it is for, half the posts we get are "ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE IT FOR THIS OTHER MODEL OF AK???" The short answer is YES, WE ARE GOING TO MAKE THEM FOR ALL MODELS OF AK EVENTUALLY! (It just takes some time to design each one and produce them) |

Sven, did you get a final measurement on the ID of your new handguard? My Damage Industries Projector muzzle device measures an OD of 1.2" and I would sure like to use it with your handguard. I will be ready with money in hand "whenever" they become available.
Thanks again for a great item. If the quality is anything like your Triangular Stock I know I will be pleased. |

Just picked up my mini Draco/sbr project. I'm going to need one of these.

Every time I convince myself I don't want to sbr an AK, Sven comes along and makes me rethink things.
Sigh... Off to buy a mini Draco. |

hope not a stupid question for you, I will be picking up one of these for my mini but do you plan to have anything that will work with the Micro Dracos? I am just waiting for them to be back in stock and pick one up...

Last time I checkd into it there were only 200 of the stamped receiver Micro Dracos in country. That is just too small an amount to gear up for a run of forends. If I can get solid info that there are 1000+ in country then yeah, we can probably knock out at least a one time batch of forends for them. Sven Manticore Arms |

I really like this hand-guard. I have 2 Min's waiting in the wings for future projects and this might be the hand-guard for both of them.
