M1 carbine is named in NJ and banned.  No other companies making similar type of carbine correct?

I recall prior post on this, couldnt find it though.

Thanks.

Auto Ordinance M1 Carbines are Legal, i know for a fact. You can buy one at most gun shows for around 600-700. Most other brands no

While I agree with you it would be legal, Good luck getting a NJ FFL to transfer you one.

I highly doubt that they have any for sale. Especially to NJ residents. These delaers are listed as Auto Ordnance retailers on their website. Most any dealer can get their products for resale, i.e. 1911s, Tommy Guns, Kahr pistols, etc.. Their carbine is named like most others, "US CARBINE" "CAL. 30 M1".

now that our HTF resident FFL has chimed in with a NO-GO, zerothomas, what's your reasoning for thinking they are legal, because i would love for it to be true... ive wanted an m1 carbine for the longest time, but ive yet to find an M888 up for sale somewhere...

Wasnt there an Israeli version made by IMI that had a different designation?

I have an IAI receiver. It says the same thing.  The serial number is M888-R212XXX.

So, to make a long story short.  M1 Carbine type weapon...just a dream.  PS.  Get it off your mind cause it aint go'in happen.  May Jim Florio and his heirs rot in hell for eternity for what he did.

the amt is a good one, saw one along with a 50 ae. my friend own the 50 and the dealer in wykoff owns the carbine. he wouldnt part with it for my friend with the 50. cool as hell for a pistol, but too rich for my blood over something like that. and the ar is cool but, why..................? its like a 5.7 ar, cool but thats about it, cool........... then what? fun at the range till the cost of ammo and thinking that the normal caliber is better than this variant which is more expensive and offers nothing special over anything else.

im not a revolver guy, so the rest are out. the amt is the only 30 gun id would want besides the two guns i cant have here. magal and carbine. noone makes a magal for civies and it would be expensive as hell for what it is. a $2-3000 ak 47 shorty in 30 carbine. :(

so for now unless someone has need of carbine stuff and ammo, itll be some wacky thing i collected for free and will sit in a box till i find a use for it in PA or somewhere?
