Federal agents search home of Oswego police chief
Federal agents searched the home of Oswego Police Chief William Ruggio this afternoon, searching for stolen property. Federal search warrants were executed at 14 Whitetail Circle and a garage on the premises of 9 Porter St., both in Oswego, according to Glenn T. Suddaby, United States Attorney for the Northern District of New York, and William Chase, Special-Agent-in-Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The warrants, signed by a United States Magistrate Judge in Syracuse, authorized federal agents to search for stolen property, including snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles, and related records. The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New York State Police, and is continuing.
