I'm going forward and getting my CHL Instructor cert, and on the application questionnaire it is asking me where I intend to teach CHL.

At this point, I haven't identified a particular location. So what should I put?

I fear if I leave it blank, they will send my packet back and I will get nowhere.

If I put the range where I *MIGHT* teach at, it also asks for their phone number (meaning they might call and get all nosy and throw my name around and likely the person will be like "who?") and also their DPS range ceritifcation # which I also don't have.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Can't answer your question, but are you TCLEOSE certified or NRA instructor certified?

No, so I will be doing the 40-hour course.

My buddy, who I'm doing this with, is a Sheriff's Deputy and he is TCLEOSE certified so assuming he passes the pre-exam, he will likely be taking the 28-hour shortened version. But he is in the same boat as me, we haven't yet formalized plans for WHERE we will do this instruction at (we have some ideas and acquaintences of course though).

FYI, just to follow-up and for anyone else in the same boat, it sounds like folks on the CHL forums are saying to leave it blank (even though DPS usually freaks out at this sort of thing, they won't on this questionnaire).
