Unless we get an air burst nuke. Looks like we will have some great stages. Everyone should be able to finish all 10 stages in about 6 hours. We will run the event both days for those who can't come on Saturday.
If I got to work Sunday, can I get a significant % of them in on Saturday? wganz ¶ |
COOL! See ya this weekend. Do you have preregisters? What day is gonna be more busy? |
you can shoot one or both days at $35.00 each day. You don't have to pre-pay for this match, just show up and shoot. We will have all stages set and will have several squads if the numbers warrant. This should go fast either day you shoot it.

The last couple I have gone to, not the Cav Arms match, have taken about 6 hours with about a dozen shooters. That's including starting a bit late and not taking a lunch. Once everyone gets on the same sheet it moves pretty fast, that's if everyone helps out with pasting targets and such. mm |

Man....I love to go on Sunday with you, FAL, but have sh!t to do. Well, at least see you on Monday. |
OK, now we see who the tough guys are. A chance of rain, 40 degrees and wind. A real Iron Man shoot
Well, I am coming out on Sunday. I have to work Sat. evening. |
I'm trying for Sunday. Was planning on going to Waco IPSC on Saturday (CTRPC, not TV) but that is out for now.
Just got a call from T.J. in Waco and the 3 gun match is cancelled. Seems it is sleeting on and off down there already.
Phew! |
You guys are gonna freeze your collective asses off, it's freezing here in Waco already
I will see what I can do. |
I was wondering if you guys were going to do it. I was tempted to go just to see you hardcore crazy's do the dead in this weather.
Well that sucks I was really looking forward to going on Sunday. As a matter of fact I just got 8 brand new D&H 30 round teflon mags with magpul followers tonight from 44mag.com. and was going to use them this Sunday. These are the first new mags that I’ve ever bought not bad for $13.00 each. So when is it going to be rescheduled? I plan on going to mesquite Saturday to sell off some of my old 30 rounders if anyone is interested?
I'd do it, weather no problem, it's the zombies on the roads that worry me. I was even gonna try their BS trooper thing where you can't go back to your car for the day. |
I dont mean to troll, But you guys got to grow some balls it's -20 here right now Goretex and Fleece are your friends |
Heya Troll.... Almost none of us attending live near this shoot.... it would be a 1.5 to 2 hour drive for most of us. When we get sleet and ice in Texas.... the roads are very dangerous for a couple reasons.... 1. The bridges and overpasses get slick with a solid sheet of black ice, and our road crews are not equipped to do anything about it.... since this happens so infrequently. Accidents galore. 2. Since this happens so infrequently.... most Texans have NO CLUE how to drive on this stuff.... so even if I can take the cold, and I can drive safely on it..... it is still very dangerous for me to be on the roads at all due to all the other idiots out there. Half the shools, govt offices, and businesses close down when we get an ice storm down here.... justified or not... in your eyes. |

He's probably not shooting today either, The way it works in Minnesota is you go to the bar when it's cold and troll for some friendly sasquatch. After you get sauced you start to talk about how good it will be when it gets warm again and you can go outside and shoot. By the way, I grew up by Duluth and came to Texas when I jumped into my truck one day and the vinyl seats shattered. Couldn't even go to the bar for the sasquatch since my brakes were also froze together. Of course next week it will be 70 here and probably still -20 up there. |

All I can say is that it is good to see you posting... instead of shooting all the damn time like normal. |
I took today off to shoot the ccidpa 3 gun as a warm up for our rematch at tiger valley on sunday. I was hoping to get the edge on you this time. I don't normally have too much to say, and when I do I usually bite my tongue or keyboard as the case may be. |

Look who is talking. You wont even SHOW UP in GREAT WEATHER because all you wanna do is bump fire..... instead of working on some REAL skills. Biggest..... Pussy..... Ever.... |
Bumpfiring is an aquired skill Matt. |
All I can say is that it was really cold today, kind like the cold you expierience after 19 years of marriage
Thank you Fal. Still had 4 show up (came down last night). Free shoot what you want to and they lasted way longer than I thought they would. I was testing from 0830 (34 f ) until 1130 (32 f) when I called simc, then we built some great props for the precision rifle match inside the barn. T.J. has pictures to post when he gets back.
It really wasn't all that bad, 32, 15 mph wind, slight drizzle. Once the fingers and toes are numb you don't feel so cold.
Wow. You guys are crazy! |
Come on, FAL. You were in Army stationed in Alaska for 10 years and you think 32 degrees F with 15 mph is bad? |
On the subject of black ice...I saw a chevy blazer run entirely over a crown vic last night. I don't know how he stayed inside the gaurd rails he was halfway up in the air and on top of the crown vic at one point.
BINGO! The reason that I stayed in Plano on Saturday. wganz ¶ |
