I'm new to this board, so I'm not really a "member" so to speak, but I've been wanting to try my hand at turkey hunting. Have never had the opportunity to try it though. Don't know where to go around these parts either.

Y'all need proper ammo.
Federal Premium Magnum Turkey 12g 3" 2oz #4 Copper Plated Federal Premium Magnum Turkey 12g 2 3/4" 1 5/8oz #4 Copper Plated Federal Premium Magnum Turkey 12g 3" 1 3/8oz #4 Tungsten-Iron Any of these would be good loads, depending on your chamber size and whether or not you want to shoot lead. Anyone go to the LBJ Grasslands near Decatur for turkey? I haven't been since the '70s but I hear there are turkeys out there, and it's relatively close to me- about 30 miles.
