date is tentatively February 26, 2006, now I just need to secure a suitable range...

Who would be interested in paying $250 apiece for a 1-day MP5 operator's school in the DFW area?
Taught by my friend and mentor, HKPRO (from another board) with yours truly assisting.....
MP5's will get first dibs (bring your NFA paperwork if it's a transferrable mg), but the principles apply to other select-fire (or not) subguns and carbines, so shooters with something other than an MP5 may be able to attend too.

Yes, you could borrow one of my spares if you take the course.

Possibly (with your own factory ammo, no reloads), but it may already be spoken for.  But you could also do the course with a carbine.

Carbine = pistol caliber only?  Not a 10.5" M16 in 5.56?

TRG

Carbine could be 5.56x45mm, it just depends where this class would be held and what the particular range allows.  At this point, we're just gauging interest to see whether we could fill 10 slots.  If so, then I'd get serious about helping HKPRO schedule this class, finding a suitable range, etc.  "DFW area" could include Tiger Valley South or TacPro or other nearby ranges (with permission of the owners of those respective ranges, of course), which could then handle rifle rounds.  We/I just haven't made any inquiries yet in regard to how those facilities might feel about renting out their own ranges (which they use for their own training classes) to an 'outsider' to conduct training.....

Can I use a .22?
I don't care much for MP5's.

Sure, if that's what you'd like to take the course with...

That would be free, except for whatever range fees might be charged by the range where the class is held.  But that would provide added stress for the students, which is part of what the class is about.

Most definitely interested, if there's an MP5 somewhere out there for me to use (MP5SD) would be extra nice...

BTT.  Looks like there's enough interest between AR15.com and HKPro.com, so now I'll get to work finding a suitable location and date for the course...

I might be interested if there's a non-MP5 slot available.  Just don't make me stand too close to TRG.

i would be more interested in an MP5 instructor's course.  i have 4 MP5's of various configs.  ultimately i'd rather take an instructor's course so i can teach a course in Central Texas.

It's time to start getting serious, so who is really in and willing to pay $250 for an MP5 Operator's Course, taught by HKPRO himself (from another board) with yours truly assisting?  We need at least 8 students to make this happen, but no more than 14 or so.  Please IM me if you will commit to taking this course, tentatively scheduled for 02/26/2006 at a range somewhere near the DFW area...
