If you belong to TSRA, you already know this (and if you don't why not - cheaper than the NRA and more effective to boot) but...
The bill prohibiting city and local goverments from prohibiting lawful concealed carry on public property has been signed into law by Governor Perry.
TSRA went on the offensive this session and three bills removing restrictions on legal concealed carry passed. None of the anti proposals ever left the committee.
If you aren't a member of TSRA, this is one good reason to join. Also, unlike the NRA, TSRA never asks for money more than twice a year and only when they really need it. You won't get saturated with junk mail and as an added bonus TSRA membership counts towards the affiliated rifle club requirement for the Civilian Marksmanship program.
