HB634 Passed Committee and looks like they are trying to exempt some places just like the Senate bill

Does SB2107 exempt education from the contracts provisions or all of the preemption statute?

I'm not sure. It says they have to follow all state law, but it does mention contracts and rentals...which could apply to stadiums and arenas.

I'd really like to see that beefed up because SEC schools are ignoring state law and daring someone to sue them.

So it looks like SB2107, as it passed the Senate, removed all of the exemptions. HB634 still has a few exemptions on it, so let’s hope that the senate version wins in conference.

Sounds like they are all possibly going to be dead due to the deadlock over the tax swap.
