Just opened my electric invoice from PSE&G, estimated at 50% more than last years usage.
.
I had no electric service for 33% on the invoice interval.............
Just looked at my meter, 413 KWH extra on my invoice, thieves.

and next month will be actual so you will be paying less... it all balances out.  since the company lost money with all the ot/parts/etc and will not be reimbursed until the fed'l government gets the bill, they want to make payroll.

Yes, I realize it balances out, but 50 %  extra..............
I spent $35.00 a day for 10 days to run my generator, just to keep my well & septic going.
Just another kick in the groin from PSE&G

And how much in extra accumulated interest will they make by doing this to many thousands of their customers?

Doesn't seem very "fair" to me.

Exactly...  just "estimate" your payment.  It can cut both ways.

You do not have to pay the whole bill.  They cannot disconnect you until you are two full payments behind.
For example, if your normal bill is $50 and they "estimated" and charged you $75, just pay your normal $50.
Next month you will get a bill for $25 past due and $25 current due = your normal $50.

Its not really the money for me, it is the fact that people like my in laws, 85 years old, would pay it and have less $$ for food. ( and be ashamed to tell anyone )
