Cheaper than I thought and the results look good.

Ultrasonic works well, but the polishing after with corn media makes them dusty.

Seems like a lot less faffing.

I read about it some time ago on Accurate Shooter but haven't known anyone with the system so I could see the results.

I see a future where you pay £160 plus VAT and duty for something that they bought in India for £12 and so did I.

Mine is at DaddyPig's house.

I believe DaddyPig has been tumbling his brass today, so I'm just wating for a photo of nice shiny new brass.

Well I think the results speak for themselves....

On the left, brand new cases, middle, tumbled in corncob for 5 hours with Frankford Arsenal brass polish and right, tumbled 3 hours in Stainless Media, a drop of Fairy Liquid and Lemshine..

The STM cases have a silky lustre to them making the traditionally tumbled ones look down right dull! The primer pockets and insides are perfectly clean too..

Well.........................Hosepipe gave me a can of cleaned RG brass, and that's what piqued my interest in the STM thingy.

I was showing it to Limey1 the other night and the first 2 cases he picked out of the can has the pins stuch in the flash holes

After a ratchet through the rest of the brass, we couldn't find any others with pins stuck in them

Looks like a flash hole uniforming session will be needed

You may get the odd pin stuck in hole but if you use a separator to drain them and make sure you give them a good tumbling, after a few sessions you'll get fewer and fewer sticking.  Its definitely worthwhile checking the flash holes though and you'll get far far few with pins in than you would corn cob media stuck.

If you don't check them and leave any pins in when you seat a fresh primer you'll be alerted to their presence by an audible alarm, if you are deaf do it in the dark and a bright flash will also alert you of any problems.

Had 3 out of 82 cases with a pin 'bridged' in the neck, but no flash hole 'stickies'...

First batch of cases through - a random selection of various really dirty old brass. (Most of the 44 stuff was a stained soot grey colour) The results are quite amazing!

I need to sort out a more efficient routine for emptying the thing, separating the pins, brass, & water though!
