Does anyone wear a full leather suit? One of the local Honda shops had a good sale on jackets last week and I picked up a nice textile jacket but also want a leather one. Thinking I might try a two peice leather suit or maybe a one peice if I can actually try them on for size. I have a weird shape.

Not sure about leather but the textile jacket I had was made to zip onto a pair of pants.

I once destroyed a 1400.00 leather suit on I-540 at 113mph. There was 18 wheeler, a crash cage, and a camera on the tank involved.

When I used to ride I wore a 2 piece leather suit that zipped at the waist. I personally think its the only way to go (riding leathers in general) if you ride a lot. I had a joe rocket set and it seemed pretty nice.

As a former MSF RiderCoach:

If you are burning up the back roads, get a suit.  Two piece that connects all the way around or a one piece that is as comfortable as you can get.  They should comfortable in the riding position you commonly ride in, and less so walking around.

As always, your choice.

I have two, two piece leather suits, plus a CorTech jacket w/ liner for more comfortable riding or commuting.  One of the suits I would use for touring and long trips, perf'd leather.  The other I would use for more aggressive day riding where I was either close to home, or had a base to come back to.  But really, it just depended on how aggressive I wanted to be that day.

I eventually got a back protector and knee/shin protectors (both ICON Field Armor) that I would wear under my jeans.  You couldn't notice they were there and they're cheap.  An invaluable investment in protecting your legs and vitals  that you can wear year round.

As you probably know, it is less about preparing for the ride, than it is about preparing for the fall.

Yeah, I'm calling BS until I see video.  

It was 10 years ago. Video has since been lost. I can probably dig up the top half of the leather suit. Pants were ripped to shreds.

I asked or a battery tender, a pair of riding pants (to go with my jacket) and a go pro hero3 for my birthday/Xmas.
