this year it appears AR pistols are out with the way DNR and NRC worded it.  they worked very hard to exclude the AR...

BUT...  the AR carbine is fine.  no mag limits, etc.  so run your 16"+ unit and smile.  we're working on a fix for their over reach currently.

Any chance of incorporating a fix for their "no CCW while bowhunting" rule into that, or has that been done?

If they did, great. I just didn't see it.

But I also didn't see the update to the carry permit law that changed renewal window to 30 days before/30 days after expiration either. That one was a pleasant surprise when I wrote the check to pay.

Thought about it, would love to, but need a larger can.  The expense and wait times, I will prolly pass.

Not submitting paperwork until I see what happens with deregulating. I hate the idea of tying up $200 just to turn in paperwork, with the possibility that it becomes unnecessary while pending.

I know it's written into the law to give refunds to people who submitted after the deadline, but I have my doubts that the refunds will be any faster than current NFA processing. If it doesn't pass I can always submit paperwork for registration later. It's not like I NEED a can.

Unless I missed something in the new rules, it's not yet legal in Iowa.

Yes it is why wouldn't it be suppressors are legal for all other hunting?

In double checking, I can find no reference to the use of suppressors at all in this years published regulations. I stand corrected.

Exactly. That which is not illegal, is legal. It is not "make a law that says you can do it", rather, if there is no law, and no damaged party, it is legal.

Might be time for a custom "Go screw yourself DNR 357 Super Ultra Mag" How about one that has enough case capacity to drive a 140gr Hornady FTX bullet 2500-2700fps? Some wildcatter should be able to do that...

Already being worked on, and a few in the field!

Google search 357 Rimless, 357AR, or 357Max-Rimless

I had also started work on the idea, then found the info at MSRevolution. Needless to say, most of the R&D work is well under way.

Another over at Shooter's forum:  https://www.shootersforum.com/gunsmithing/97938-straight-wall-cartridge-ar-platform.html
