Does anyone have experience with these? I have a 450 AR and love it. I'm looking at getting a bolt action .450 for a Christmas present for someone, and would like to hear some feedback from anyone other then the LGS counter guy.

From what I've seen, there's 2 models put out by Ruger. The Gunsite scout and the American rifle ranch models. I'm looking at getting the Ranch model.

I've built a few Remingtons and Savage 450's with longer barrels. I sighted in a Ruger American for a friend just to shoot it. It shot well and with the brake recoil was manageable . I don't know if hunting with no hearing protection will be fun with that brake.
I will say I wont hunt with my AR15 any longer .
