This is for my dad.  He had bypass surgery earlier this year, and it's been nothing but problems since, and the docs around here clearly don't know what the problem is.  He's literally been in the hospital about 2 dozen times for chest pain (tests always show his heart is OK, not having heart attacks).

My inclination at this point is to get him set up with someone in Nashville at either St Thomas or Vanderbilt.  Anyone have a name of a known good cardiologist?

Henry Jennings III is a good one at Vanderbilt.  I had him when I had my first hear attack 27 years ago when he was at St Thomas.

At St Thomas I can recommend Bennett for a good General Cardiologist and Kyle Stribling for a super Heart Failure specialist.  Koenig is the man to see for improving leg circulation.

Given a choice between heart hospitals, I favor St Thomas hands down.

This from one that has survived two heart attacks, two open heart surgeries (10 bypasses total), 13 stints (three in the chest and 10 in the legs), and a implanted heart defibulator.

Can we all tell I am doing my part to contribute to the wealth of the medical community of middle Tn?

Right now I have 11 separate Doctors I am seeing.

Since my wife's heart attack last year she's been using Dr. Malik at Southern Hills.  I like him, he takes interest in his patients and seems genuinely concerned which is something you don't see a lot of these days in a physician.  He also has an office at Centennial and will be moving his practice there completely soon.

I've undergone 4 surgeries at Centennial in the past 18 months.  I couldn't be happier with the staff there!

Add me to the list of Centennial Heart/ Dr Malik patients.  I hope the Centennial office is as efficient as the Southern Hills one has been for me.
