Well today my 6 yo son and I set out to find a couple stripped lowers.
10 AM Keith's had DPMS  at 149 and Cav Arms at 130.  Pass
1 PM hit the gun show.  Bought a 75 rd ak drum for 125 and a 100 rd for 150. Both chicom.
1:30 After waiting 10 min on a dealer lacking any sort of people skills I am told that 250 is the price on a ruger 6&7/8 taper bull. No leeway whats so ever.   NO SALE
2 PM Found a nice Spikes lower for 130?, but the guy is out of Washington. NO SALE
2:30 Bought a DPMS LPK from the guy with the Spikes lower for 60$. 13$ more than Midway but what the hell.
3:30 Hit the Pawn shops in Beaverton. Made an offer of 200 for a 10-22 and a Romy 22 Trainer, but the lowest they would go on both was 220$ NO SALE

4:00 With money burning a hole in the pocket we made a last ditch effort and stopped by the Duel Smoking gunn's shop.  BINGO they had BANG Arms lowers at 135 and we haggled they down to 255 for two of them.

I have to say that I am happy with the machining and coating on them. They make the Superior Arms lowers I have look like a bag of crushed turds.  I will give a full report after I have built them up.

Well that was my day. And it is good to be home in Portland even if it is only for the weekend.

Pribbz  OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTT

Tom had Essential lowers for $125 and Megas for $135.   Not really a lot of selection, and as usual Keiths was over priced but I did get a CZ 75B from him, and yeah, it was over priced.

What's the opinion on Mega?  Some say they are the nicest they have ever seen and others say never again?

I'm in the "nicest" category.
the fit and finish is beautiful, it puts my bushmaster to shame.
the tolerances are nice and tight (just the way I like it ), and the color is a deep black.

I love my Megas. The roll marks/engraving is perfect and the finish is excellent... I bought some extras for down the road.
