REVISIONS to the below rules are coming, PLEASE do not start a group buy request! Group Buy rules & guidelines: 1.) To OFFICIALLY post/start a Group Buy you MUST first contact a member of the Staff or Sr. Staff and have it APPROVED. It would be best to contact the following for details: [email protected] -- [email protected] -- [email protected] -- [email protected] 2.) Group Buys must have dedicated timelines - A signup period will need to be established, after the signup cutoff date is reached a payment period will need to be established and an order date posted. When the payment period is posted an estimated time of arrival for the group buy will also need to be posted. We realize there can be certain unavoidable delays but the organizer of the Group Buy will need to make sure such instances are kept at a minimal. 3a.) Only ONE Group Buy is to be conducted at a time per Organizer/Dealer. 3b.) FOR NOW, we will have a limit of only FIVE or SIX group buys can be conducted per month. This will allow some time for group buy proposals to be better established by both the buyers and the dealer/organizer. If the next couple of months are smooth sailing we will consider increasing this number. 4a.) No arguing about another organizer's group buy or about a proposed group buy's price. It is up to the buyer to do the homework and determine if the deal is right or not. 4b.) Organizers/Dealers - Do not comment on another's G.B. pricing. 5.) Group Buy organizers - DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Make sure you have every detail correct. Make sure your dealer, manufacturer, etc. can provide the goods at the price negotiated and deliver in a reasonable timeline. And most importantly, make sure you can organize the funds appropriately AND keep them separate from all other business. 6.) Organizers - There will be no 'nonrefundable deposits' terms in your group buy offerings.

Yeah, I saw that, but I'm only interested in doing an Oregon HTF group buy and not a board wide buy.

Send a PM to WS4LIF. He's done several group buys and would probably be able to answer any questions you have. I can only imagine what this is for, but I'm sure it's gonna be cool. |

Same rules apply for the Hometown forums at this time. If you want to do an interest thread, go ahead, just let the Mod know what is going on. When you feel you have enough interest, get all the details worked out and IM the Mod with them. Make sure to have the start date, payment date and delivery date all worked out as well as whom the payment needs to go to. We are only allowed one buy at a time with a maximum number of 5 allowed in the Hometown forums at a time. Here are the "official" rules that we need to follow: We will be allowing small GB's to go forward in the individual HTF's from now on. We will limit these GB's too no more then 5 different ones within the HTF's at any one time, and only one per HTF at any given time. If asked about GB's by any member, you should suggest they start a thread gauging interest before submitting a request for a GB. Both Staff and the HTF Mod must agree on all the details to allow the GB to go forward. If either party doesn't feel comfortable with the GB, then it will be denied. All details for the GB must be worked out before starting the ordering phase. These details should be submitted to Staff, via the HTF Mod for approval. The GB ordering process should last no longer than 3 weeks, and deliveries should take place ASAP from the time the ordering phase ends. A disclaimer will be posted in the original post of each GB. ***Disclaimer: Even though this Group Buy has been approved by the Hometown Forum Mod, and Staff; AR15.com accepts no liabilitly for this Group Buy and is not responsible for any problems that might occur.
