Will be there all weekend. Missing the PR match to which I really could have used as a relaxation tool. Been a rough week.
Hey Josh were you there today getting ready? If so, which one were you, the guy in the black polo? NoAim, we are at the end of H2 backing up against CY, the parts guy. We have nine tables in the same island. Hope to see some of you there this weekend!! BTW, Sat I will sport my custom ARFCOM shirt complete with screen name!! Yea, I am a dork. CH |
I'll have an ar15.com shirt on..................
and a black eye, cuz cape_hunter wants to punch me in the face. |
NO, I want to buy you a beer! But that is funny! |
I probably won't recognize anyone, but I'll be there. Anyone know if there will be any 100% recievers on site for sale?
*edit* oops, I'm refering to an AK reciever, forgot to specify. |
There's usually a few. My regular contact for Mega lowers doesn't have any this time though.
I should be there.. I'll be naked.
Edit: Does anyone know if anyone there is going to be selling any Tannerite? |
I'm workin' this weekend.
But that's so I can ride down to the redwood country next weekend. |
hey...
Pretty good friday. Did have one lost sale due to being on hold for to long with the feds...pissed me off. Josh....I seen you today and was trying to come up with a good way to fuck with you but failed. Tomorrow I will just buy ya a beer! Noaim, nice seeing ya. everyone else...see ya there. Hoppy enjoy the ride man, CH |
I spent too much money again.
1900 rounds of ammo (7.62x39 and .308). New carry piece = P2000SK (ouch). Sigh...looks like Ramen for me this month... |
Nice carry piece!!! I'll buy it off you for $3.50.
I'm going today and will probably spend way to much. |
I went Friday afternoon and thought it was pretty good. I think there was only 1 beef jerky table, 1 beanie baby table, and 1 paintbrush table. A lot of tables weren't ready to go, but that was OK because they were mostly airsoft. There was a fair amount of stuff that interested me.
I met a nice guy in the back next to the hotdog stand and we talked about building AK's..... Keith's had an assembled Tantal which was pretty cool- gotta build mine now... The only thing wierd was ammo- only 1 of the ammo dealers had 7.62x39 in FMJ (had to lug a case of 1440 out the door and explain it wasn't a gun to the short little female cop at the door), and only 1 of them had 5.45. As I remember from when I was in the biz, shows get better in the fall and winter and suck bigtime in the summer. Oh yeah, I saw a few mid '90's MAK 90s in the styrofoam boxes for $450 or so- geez the most I sold them for was $240 back then. Kinda cool to see some of them surface again- brings back memories of unshaven, flannel shirt wearing beer belly rednecks busting my balls for 20 minutes about an $89 Chinese SKS that was used and whether it had a milled or stamped trigger guard and if the barrel was pressed or threaded and how that made all the difference in the world for accuracy and then go buy the same thing from someone else for $0.99 cheaper. |
Yeah, those were the good ol' days. still have 2 of the Chicom 75rnd drums I bought back then... @$27 a pop... to go along with the SKS-M that I got for $125. Took it home and found out the drums wouldn't fit so I went and bought a poly folding stock for $30, dremmeled it to get those drums in... and then came Clinton's ban and every thing went crazy. |
yeah, anybody see any AK recievers? My roommate told me there were a few romanian kits... any others? Im debating on going (prolly will), im just trying to see how much cash i should take. NO CARDS this time! |
For 7.62x39, the same dealer had two different kinds of FMJ. The Zimbabwe bras cased (1400 round box...I bought the same one), and some Brown Bear.
BTW, the guy that had this (not MiWall) is also the company that I buy my JHP 40S&W reloads from for $60/500. Good stuff, cheaper than Wolf. I picked up 500 rounds of their .308 reloads...we'll see how those go. |
The guy in the back left of the room past the hotdog stand had a polish underfolder kit without the underfolder for $120. Doubt he still has it. The barrel was already removed and the metal was new. He also had a greasy Yugo and the front end of an AMD65. That's about all I saw except for already assembled AK's at Keith's etc.

Did you check with Josh (gastonglock30 on arfcom)? He had some Barnual 5.45 FMJ on Saturday when I was there. He has it every show. You might want to IM him if you need some before the next show. Sadly the price is going up on all the Russian ammo. |
All I got was my XM177 moderator. Finally got approved. I might swing by Kieth's Tues. and see if they still have that used 686 I managed to talk myself out of.

That's too bad. I've tried their .223 with not-so-good results on a brand new un-lubed AR. Not enough gas coming back to fully lock the hammer in the disconnector. Black Hills worked okay. In my friend's M4, it also worked fine. So I think no-lube, plus a bit undergassed cased the problems. Kinda cool having a 2 round burst AR for a while though. However, I'm in love with the .40 S&W reloads. Good stuff. It feels no different ballistically than Winchester, Federal, etc. with perfect reliability so far in a USP. We'll see how the .308 runs though the AK. |
I was gonna say the guy in the back, making out with his sister...........but I'd probably get my ass kicked.
[ cups ass cheek with sweaty palm] How you doin' ?? [/cups ass cheek with sweaty palm]
That made my night! on that note, time for bed..........( I'll keep my hands to myself ) |
I think that was one of the best shows I've been to at the Expo Center in a couple of years
at least. I bought a suppressor and a few hundred dollars in ammo. There were definitely fewer jerky/beanie baby/airsoft tables. We almost didn't make it in when the door nazi yelled at one of my pals for not having his AR upper checked before he came in. She seemed to think it was a gun, and of course we didn't. I kept my eyes open for an arf.com shirt, but I didn't see any. I guess that shows how un-focus'd I am at a gunshow! ;-) |
, yep~! |

Was kinda referring to ... what table were you at lol.. but that works I guess... |

End of H2......next to the folks selling that Thundre saber AR. CH |
