I have a Ruger MKIII 22/45 and want to do the grip mod. I was referred to member on here who did the work but he got out of the business because the risk of making a mistake and having to replace the frame was not worth it. That makes me believe that I would not want to dremel the plastic grip panels myself.

Ive heard of people using a milling machine to cut the plastic off guaranteed to have a perfectly flat clean surface. It seems like you really can’t mess up and is much simpler than sanding and grinding. So does anyone have access to a milling machine near the atl area and charge a reasonable price???

Thanks

heres some pics i took off the web during my research.

I have been thinking of doing this to mine for some time just never have gotten around to it. I do have access to a milling machine but I am nowhere near Atlanta, about 45min north of Buford.
