Hey guys.  I would normally post this over at the optics board but I am just too exausted to deal with the General Disc. crowd this morning.   This is probably a stupid question but is it a bad idea to mount my Larue Eotech Mount halfway on my upper and halfway on my RAS?  The RAS, although not a FF, is rock solid but I'm still apprehensive because it is not permanent.  Thanks guys.

So the optic would be partially on a solid rail (upper receiver) and partially on a not so solid rail (the RAS)?

Yeah that's the setup Book.  Thanks for your opinion.  I just like my EOTech a little more forward but if accuracy is comprimised I can live with it mouted totally on the upper's rail.
