A few of us will be going to see Serenity Friday afternoon. I usually go to Hollywood 24 on I-85. They have not posted the showtimes yet, but I shoot for the noonish one. I will post a time once I see the schedule. If you can play hooky or take a long lunch come on out. I have seen the movie and I really liked it. I have seen the entire Firefly season many times, but the movie is supposed to hold it's own. When I saw the movie I tried to see if it did stand on it's own, but I got into it too much to be able to tell. It has action, guns, girls, spaceships, humor, action, some sadness, guns, attitude, humor, action, and cannibals. One reviewer said it will make you laugh one minute and cry the next. Well, I don't remember crying, but it was dark in the theater. I did get a goober stuck in my throat, I ran outta Mello Yello, you see.

Anyway, you can post if you what to let me know you will be there, IM me if you feel like it, ignore me, or make fun of me if you want, but do not forget...NDs do happen at the range!(THAT WAS A JOKE PEOPLE)

If you want to see the trailer...

I got the wife hooked on Firefly too.

I'll let her get all dolled up, we'll probably get a sitter and go see it on Sat. night. Then I'll take her to McDonalds, my treat.

If you're really feeling wild you could super-size it. (The food I mean.)

Well, as of right now it looks like the theater will be: Regal Perimeter Point Stadium 10 on Mt. Vernon Hwy with showtimes at: 1:00 - 4:00 - 7:30 - 10:30. My depression is getting deeper. At least they say they have stadium seating.

Sooooo, tentatively it is the 1pm show at Perimeter Pointe. The 4pm isn't out of the question but I am taking the day off.

I will check back with Fandango again tomorrow to see if there are any changes. Is there a better place than Fandango for looking up movie times?

Ok, I got the tickets, 6.50 + handling fees...man, I am rubbing these puppies all over my body...mmmmmmm.

I figure 12:00 at Taxco will give us plenty of time to eat, bs, and drive over to the theater. How does that sound?

If you are stuck at a job long enough you get vacation days...though it is never enough...

I liked it alot, but without watching the whole series in the last six weeks I would have looked like the "WTF?" cat.

Things would be missed if you hadn't seen the series, but other things, not so much.  I think it could stand alone by itself.

I was dragged, under protest, to see this movie over the weekend.
Who has Season 1 on DVD?

When does Season 2 start and what station is it on?

There were only 12 episodes made and the series was pulled the first year.
There are no plans to do another season.

You might have to clean the discs first to get the player to read them.  Use bleach.

Unregardless of that, once I get my PC moved I could be persuaded to make you a copy of them...cleaning is optional.
