it's in vegas again, at the las vegas convention center.  to go, you need either an FFL, or to be in the industry.  being "in the industry" means nothing more than having a business card with your name and business's name on it, or to have a business license or be an employee of a business in the industry.  really, the easiest way is to form a corporation with a tactical title, like "XXX tactical" or something.  from there, you're in, because they aren't going to check your background to see if you have actually bought or sold any tactical gear or firearms or anything.  if you have a business card, they can easily just see if the business exists, though, and if you're an employee.  i still have no confirmation on whether or not a C&R will get you in, since it IS an FFL.

Unfortunately no, i've opted to go to Quad-A next year instead. Be careful there though, that's a rough crowd.

Agnew out.

i'm saving up about $1000 for the trip.  round trip airfare will be around $300.  i'm going to be using my parents' timeshare to get a condo, so quarters are free, but figure about $40 a night to stay in a pretty good room at any casino.  my parents stayed in a nice room in the imperial palace for $40 a night.  the other money is for renting a car and driving to a few national parks, like grand canyon, red rock canyon, etc, and for gear or whatever we end up doing.  i'm planning on coming back with money, but if i don't, i won't cry.  i'm saving every penny i can for this.

Rooms during the SHOT Show book up quick and are quite expensive
I'm staying at the Hilton next to the convention center and it is $165 a night

Last year Vegas was all full up with pretty much no rooms to be had

Azalin is now "engaged".  it'll be official thursday, but he's engaged.  the funeral is set for March 12, but i'm trying to get them to bump it up to the last week in january, so we can get them hitched in vegas, at the shot show.  think about it, we can do the bachelor's party, wedding, reception, and honeymoon all in one place.  they can register for wedding gifts at brownell's.

I have a 03 C&R FFL and they send me invitations to SHOT all the time, so it must be enough to get in.

You are looking looking at 500.00 to however much your wallet can handle for the trip to vegas. The usual sites, expedia, pricline etc can handle the reservations. Do not wait until the last minute or you will either pay  a stupid amount of money or not be able to find a room/flight. Of course food, drink, gambling  and female companionship are extra. Remember prostitution is not legal in LasVegas itself. All enthusiast should go to the SHOTSHOW at least once.

i may not be going.  i'll know by the end of next week, hopefully.  if i can't go, it's because of good news.  if i can go, it means i didn't get into the EMT program at gwinnett tech.
