My wife and I applied for ours in November and got them in early February. This was almost 5 years ago in Gwinnett County. Different counties may have different processing times.

I applied for mine in Cobb county mid January. I got it mid April. That was this year.

9 weeks from Gwinnett, applied July of last year.

The initial application takes a while. They figure if you are in a smokin hurry to pack heat, maybe they should let you think about it a while. If they can do a Brady check in 10 minutes, you'd think they could turn those CCW apps a little faster.
Just don't let it expire! Once you have it, renew 4 months before expiration. Then the renewal is only 2 weeks or so, but if it expired, start at square one again. |
