I'm an undergrad. There's actually a Tar Heel Rifle and Pistol Club that does a good job of providing firearms education and range time for beginning/intermediate shooters, a Ducks Unlimited club, and several conservative organizations that are pro-2A.

We should plan a range day.
UNC Arfcom meet N shoot. I can host. I have access to a mess of NFA stuff. We could setup a small Uspsa or 2 gun match for grins. Have some BBQ and shoot the breeze. Location is about 5 mins from Caswell Ranch. Post up if your interested. |

As I said earlier in the thread, I can host.
The shooting portion would consist of a USPSA style Match for Pistol & PCC and/or a steel match with Centerfire And rimfire divisions. Nfa shoot after the fun matches if there is interest. I'll throw out 3rd Saturday in Sept as a potential date. If someone wants to BBQ, that's cool with me. Rustic accommodations, outhouse, no running water. Not really female or young kid friendly (according to my wife.) Limited cell service. Verizon works best. I can host 8-10 folks maximum. Not comfortable with more than that. Certainly open to other venues, so let's hear any ideas. |

Slacker thanks for offering to host. I'd definitely be down for a uspsa style set up. I can bring some nfa as well, although I am not on the MG level yet. My work schedule isn't set for September yet so I could try to request that day off. Honestly I doubt any date will accommodate everyone so I think it's best we just go with a date / time that is most convenient for Slacker and go ahead and set it in stone. I'm excited to finally get involved with the hometown forum now that I've had a chance to settle down.
