If the weather's shitty, I got a fairly decent pool table in the basement and room in the fridge for any donated beer ya'll might want to share with me! Might have a little jar stashed away for a special get together as well!

Can't make it the 12th probably could on the 19th though..
Though I think it would be cool to have some sort of "get together" even if the weather is crappy.
Maybe arfcom could take over Chili's or Applebee's or something like that.
As for distance fro Uwharrie it took me and Cixelsyd right at 2 hours last time to get there.

I doubt I'd be able to make it to a shoot, but I could probably make it to dinner somewhere.  We could pick a central location and make it a regular thing.

I just picked up my brand spanking new RRA National Match Lower receiver today. I also did a little horse trading and came home with a new Yugoslavian SKS. Bonus! I know not too many people get excited over a SKS, but it is my very first one. I will be buying some 7.62 x 39, as well as some 5.56 X 45! Ya'll want to shoot at Uwharrie? I'll be there if there's a definite meeting time. Just say the word. Hell Threefiddy, I'll even let you ride with me if you don't want to drive down. Let's make it happen!

Hey Cheese, where did you pick up the RRA lower?  Somewhere local?  I have an RRA flattop with a 20" Wilson NM SS barrel coming in this week.  Would be nice to have a matching lower for this project.

Thanks!

That sounds like it's gonna be a sweet project! I actually purchased both my RRA complete lowers off of Gunbroker.com from a "ton80" down in Norcross, Ga. He ships damn quick, but only to a designated FFL holder. I got a gunsmith friend nearby who does the paperwork for me in exchange for a little minor machinework. Some say the ton80 is a little high on his prices, but even if it's so, I'd rather pay the little bit extra and not have to wait on the list. Trigger is pretty nice!

The 19th will be better for me. I need time to put my new parts together this weekend, otherwise all I'll have is a box o'parts to bring. Last of the new parts should arrive late this week or early next week. Darn, I need 77gr BH ammo too.

Did I say toys...I mean parts? LaRue, Lauer/LMT lower, Leupold, Laser Devices....

Will you guys let me sight a couple of rifles in? Then blow up your Tannerite? LOL!

Hope to see you all at a get together soon!

Hey threefiftynone....even if we shared a table or two we still would not have the amount of stuff techdude and his friends brought down on the last trip. I have to get a truck, that is all there is to it.

I went a little overboard last time.  It took me a solid week to get everything cleaned and back in the safe!  I still have shit in the truck from the last shoot, not to mention half a jar of pickled eggs!

Hi all, this is my first time posting.
I just got my first AR at the last funshow, found this site and have learned a lot since then.

Myself and a few friends are planning to be out there for sure.
We were there a two weeks ago, you may have seen me, I'm the guy with the little 1/4 scale napoleon.

In answer to your question, we drive from Charlotte which is about an hour away.

Welcome aboard .
What type of AR did you get? There is nothing like your "first".

It's a Bushy XM15-E2S.  Got the six pos. stock, izzy brake, etc...
I love it!  So much more fun to shoot than I even thought it would be.
I've paid considerably more attention to it than my girlfriend since the show!
I think she's getting jealous.... ;}

It's a cannon that slings a one inch ball.
Got to pop a gallon jug of water with it when we were out there last.

ever try a gallon jug of Tannerite? If you have a whole bunch of ammo you can let 350 try to bump it.

Hey, that's a damn good idea...

Now to break out the camera and Photoshop the hell out of it...

Better yet, strap 1/2 lb of Tannerite to it and shoot it.

I think maybe I should ONLY bring the LAR's this time. Shit, I'll probably forget to bring the damn ammo for them. LOL! I'm gonna bring the tactical 16" and the Franken-national-match 20" gub-mint this time. I'm picking up 1000k rounds tomorrow. Maybe threefiftynone won't make fun of me if I bring enough ammo. I need to pick up some 7.62 X 39 for the SKS as well. What time is everybody gonna try and arrive there? So I can plan when to head out. Gimme a timeframe anyway. Techdudenc, should I bring my lil' bolt rifle again? Or did you get your lever action sighted in? Heh-heh-Heh!

YES, PLEASE BRING THE 22-250.

I make no claims to my bolt guns being zeroed.

I do however hope to have my new LR AR mostly ready.  It will have to be zeroed with a virgin Leupy...

Perhaps I need some assistance???

There was only one incident where it took multiple shots to detonate a charge. The "My Little Pony" incident....Damn thing had a will to live. We salvaged as much of the charge as we could and put it into another container. That fixed the problem. May not have been mixed well. I'm shooting handloaded Nosler Ballistic tips. Will we need to bring flak jackets this time?! What time is everybody gonna try and get there Saturday?
