Not really.  I usually go to Cola if I want a formal range.  Usually I just shoot at a friend's place.  Sumter does have a state park range that is public.

hey...there are two of us that live in summerville, myself and brohawk.

there are two state run ranges, one on 41 and one headed towards georgetown(i think, never been out there). the one on 41 is called boggy head, look it up on google for directions. Its a pretty hefty drive though.
If you shoot skeet and are military, the air force has a great skeet range that is very cheap.

There is a public range in Mountain Rest above Walhalla...kind of a dumpy place though but well off the beaten path.  I think it is called Pickens Bend.  There is a gun club in the Saddler's Creek area, but I have no info on it.
