I have a very big RRA collection and these AR's are great, well made, top quality and relibility is outstanding....I also have started a collection of LMT's, which are outstanding AR's. Like all of us who get into this hobby, as you get deeper into the details you learn. If I had to start over again, I would have started with the LMT. Not to say the RRA's I have are not good, its just the LMT is a big step above.
I have two basic LMT's, two MRP's and have a Piston upper MRP on order, due in March 2010.
You are going to spend $950 to $1000 for the RRA, SW and etc.....last basic LMT I purchaed was $1250. Not a whole lot more.....something to consider

i have found this to be cyclic.
lmt is having it's share of issues right now and i am not sure they would be a first choice for me personally. Rock river had issues for awhile and still do with proper gas key staking and other minor issues, as well as bushy.
having had to deal first hand SEVERAL times with bushmaster and DPMS service... i can honestly say those 2 for sure are off of my buy list. Bushy you will likely get a decent rifle but should you need service you might as well fix it yourself. DPMS is simply a crap shoot. you get a great gun or a complete mess.
armalite, colt,S&W all seem to be pretty consistent in quality and what they produce, i can say firsthand armalites customer service is top notch.
been dealing with the things seriously for 14 years now and have had the opportunity through this site to meet and "get know" several of the owners of these compaines or their management members.
the only company i can honestly suggest staying the hell away from is olympic arms. The consistently put out sub par rifles that are prone to failues. Whiletheir service department is MUCH better than it used to be it is still far from great. ASA is also suspect. the original company was run by a complete ass. the new owners seem to be doing better, but for the price vs another known vendor..... why risk it.
