As of September 3, 2004, Louisiana has been added to the list of states that Alabama has a CCW reciprocal agreement with.

Check www.ago.state.al.us/ag_items.cfm?Issue=64 for the official list.

Here's a map I made that shows at a glance which states have reciprocal agreements with Alabama.

If we can just get Texas next.

Excellent.  One less problem to worry about on my trip to Gunstock.  Thanks for keeping up with this Michael!

Woohoo!!!

I was in "Nawlins" a couple of months ago & griped about the lack of AL-LA reciprocity the whole time.  I'm very glad to hear this!

Wooohoo.  Now i can legally carry when I go see my folks.  FWIW, i called the AG's office in LA and asked them if I could carry about a year ago.  The answer was no, but If  i am travelling to LA i can keep the gun loaded in the car with me as long as I dont get out with it.  Apparently they consider your car an extension of your home.
