Received this blade as a surprise gift yesterday, and it will be going hunting with me tomorrow!
85 layers 1095 and 15N20, hand forged Damascus hunting knife. Full tang with Rosewood handle, Damascus quillon and pommel

Middle of Holeb Pond, some miles west of Jackman Maine, -14 degree night and snowed about 1” on top of the 28”+ on the ground.
I was the only person in a hammock and the only person that stayed warm all night. Everyone else slept on cots in their ice shacks and in their words “almost froze to death” even with their propane heaters running. We were all expecting the opposite.
