Ques for the hive.
I would like to buy a pistol FTF.
I know we need to fill out the two forms and call the State NCIS and get a auth. number.

Question is the seller doesn't have a pistol permit. Would that be a problem for him or the transaction?
I do have a p.p.

I'm not sure I know you mean JAD?
I want to buy it from him. He moved here and never got his permit while here.
Left gun in his home, didn't carry it due to no p.p.
He would need an auth. number for the transfer to me.
I figure it shouldn't be an issue with the transfer since he bough it legally and I'm legal to own one on my p.p.

The Auth # authorizes the transfer of a firearm TO YOU. People do this often, it is not unusual.

Let me clarify what I was saying-

Getting authorization to transfer a pistol/ revolver to a person who can lawfully receive a pistol is not a problem for persons without permits.
