Got a question for you south eastern Sooners.

Vacationing at a Airbnb by Broken bow lake in July. Sharing it with another couple that we’ve know forever.

Only gonna be there for 4 days but I’m inquiring about any must do’s in the area. Eating, drinking, famous shit etc...

Thanks!

Watch out for logging trucks!  Grateful Head Pizza is pretty good, it is in Hochatown not far from most of the lake rentals.  There are several restaurants around the lake area right off the highway so should be pretty easy to find stuff to do.

No problem, I just work down in that part of the state regularly so I don’t know what all activities there are.  I just know of a few restaurants that I normally go to when I have to make overnight work trips down there.

There is a small casino in Hochatown also.  We were there in June last year. Very quiet and peaceful at night. We cooked in the cabin while we were there so can't help you with the local food place. It does shut down early and the local Wal-Mart is a madhouse.  Hope you like Bigfoot because you will see him everywhere you look around there.

Grateful Head pizza is the main place for a lot of people, one of my favorite places.  Most of the restaurants are good.  Abendigos (spelling?) is pretty good for a sit down meal.  There is a Silver Rail car a little north of Grateful head on the  east side of the road.  Some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had come from there.  Go down to the Beaver bend lake area and check it out.

Thanks all for the tips. Looking forward to coming south again.

Me and the wife are considering moving to OK in the next 5-6 years. Been to other spots in OK many times but the south East has eluded us.

Figured a week visit would fill in that blank.

Thanks again.
