I sold my business and I really have no idea what my future plans are now.  Anyone have any ideas for work for a guy that has a Microbiology degree and 10 years experience in being self employed?

Obama care's got you covered.

Seriously though what did you do for a living? What kind of industry.

Worked in a lab for a year, then started building rental homes and then homes in general on a small scale.  Then I built and operated a car wash.  Everything is sold now.  I can't really build homes in this economy so I am thinking of either going back to school, finding a job, or both.  Any ideas?

Hey Dan ,  I have a wife with two great paying jobs!

I wish I could get my wife to make more than she spends.  It's like having a hole in the boat and the water is coming as fast as I can bale it out.  Lucky Dan.

Working for someone else after working for myself was a relief after while.  No payrole to meet, no jobs to bid, no employees to worry about,  no damn working from can to cant, no FICA, no insurance pains in the but.  Nice having a regular paycheck.  Then do contract work on the side and some other fellow has all the worries.

No one is going to hire me with my medical record.
And finding electrical construction consulting jobs is almost nil for me now that the economy has gone so far south.
Even so I'm luckier than most I must admit.
My wife is pretty tight about money.
But I am too to some degree and saved a lot of what I've earned over the years.
Sometimes I wish I was back at work in a crew or running a job.
Then again other times I'm glad I don't have to put up with much bull sh*t.

I checked into the PA program at OU. The head of it suggested I go back and get a masters in physiology and then they might talk to me.
I'd say the PA program would be the way to go instead of nursing.
But nursing would definitely be a good way to go if you couldn't get into the PA program.

The fastest way to make a million dollars in the gun business is to start with two.
