Alright, since a lot of us on here post on both places, can someone please fill me in as to what in the heck happened over there? I'm banned and so are 3-4 other people and none of us know why. Before you suggest it, I've emailed the link on the contact info and haven't gotten a reply. I don't know if it takes them a while or what the deal is. Maybe some of us outcasts will come together here and figure out what happened. I had 100% feedback in the Classifieds forum on there as well and have completed several good deals with folks. I'm lost.

beats me, them guys are kinda funny over there sometimes, I read the threads that got locked and didn't see a problem with them, I see four different LE agencies occassionally more and two different fire depts. at the casino nearly every week and most of those dudes are pretty cool, but one sticks out like a sore thumb, you meet him one time and you just know that if he stays with the LE field your gonna be seeing him on tv or reading about him in the paper, hell even the guys that work with him everyday smile when asked about him, so beats me twobravo whats happening to you over there.

guess I'll be staying over here and talking crazy and all, hell I even been thinking of buying a membership if they ever quit using paypal and start taking CCs, hate supporting any company that is anti gun- hunting or anything else I like.

I also seen that Bullboy has been banned. He be the last one I would seen banned. He seems pretty easy goin.

I din't read much of the cop bashin stuff so I donno nothin bout that stuff. I am really surprised I did not get the boot, after yesterday. I was not "bashing" L.E. at all, just stating the facts that news reported about the theft of the firarms from a DEA agents vehicle. But my statements were taken that way by someone.

I do think that a certian member over there needs to chill a bit. Other than that I really dont have any complaints about the place, but it sure aint no ARF.com....

Well, it's crap. I encourage folks to start asking questions over there. All they can do is ban you liek they banned me. If the place bans you for asking simple questions, do you really want to be there? Worst case scenario, you come back here more often like me. I'm a paying member here and I like it here. They are implying that they will ban anyone that brings up locked threads, banned people.  They honestly should have a rule that states:  "Do not say anything which could displease Micheal Brown." because that is the way it is.  If he doesn't like what was said, true or not, then the thread gets locked.  I was nearly banned there myself for some stuff that MB didn't agree with.  The one that really was crappy was that I posted a poll about "What does the second amendment means to you?"  I did this just as a feeler of what the people there believed it meant.

Here were the options paraphrased because I cant remember exactly.

1.  there should be no restrictions on arms.
2.  Restrictions are necessary because we live in a civilized country.
3.  I like my shotgun and .22 rifles, if you want to use anything else join the military.
4.  guns are bad mmmkay!

It was locked after 3 votes and about 5 posts.  2 people voted for option 1, 1 person voted for option 2.  JP and MB were the only ones to post.   MB's first post was to disagree with my vote for #1.   He asked in that post, "Surely you don't mean you would allow anyone to own rpgs and Abrams tanks."  I pretty much responeded with "Yes, because it is our check and balance on the powers of the government and is the last line of defense for our freedom."  It was locked after that, I have PMs about the issue, an apology to MB about some things, and his reply which somewhat angered me because he said I condoned illegal activity, which I did not.

I really didn't see anything in any of your guys posts that would warrant banning or even a lock.  MB is apparently of the school that you don't question authority or government, when that is exactly what needs to be done sometimes.

ETA:  I just looked and noticed that threads are being locked at glocktalk as well, thats crap.

Being an LEO is difficult...how do you mess with t*rds all the time without it rubbing off? I went to Seiling the other day and visited with Jeremy, a young man that is now COP of the Seiling PD. He's a good man, a young 26, and still "growing" in his profession. I've known him for two to three years now and being a police officer is changing him. Just a hazard of the profession.
An old uncle of mine, retired Highway Patrol, age 80, still drives down the road waving at people saying "Hi Turd!" and smiles while doing it. It's a habit from driving a patrol car on the Turner Turnpike. He always told me people would flash him the finger and he would respond that way - wave back, smile, and say "Hi Turd!" just to screw with them!

No, I didn't have any experience at all with the cabins. Here's the deal. The posting rules used to say "no spam, advertising, etc in the threads". Legit sales for guns and gun related stuff were allowed in the classifieds, and even the occasional non-gun item.

Well, that guy's first post was to advertise his cabin. It had nothing to do with guns. I asked them why the post was allowed when 2 mods had even replied to the guys thread without a warning or anything. Get this, and PAY ATTENTION HERE: That's they day the changed the posting rules, HID the thread, and then basically J.P. told me to shut up. Can you say DOUBLE STANDARD? I made a point of posting it for all to see because just 1 day earlier JP made a big deal of saying "There are NO double standards on OKSHOOTERS". YEAH RIGHT!! That's why I'm gone I'm sure.

Back me up here guys. It looks like I have a bunch of support already.

Also...like I said, for you guys who were/are over there. That part in red is some serious bullshit in texas you tell someone your going to kick their ass you might as well do it because they can and will prosecute you for terroristic threats.....a friend of mines dad was prosecuted for it.....I don't know what the law is in OK if it's the same or not........

I have people cuss me out all the time and treat me like shit when I get to their house when I ran service all the time...........But if I showed up acting like an ass becoause of how someone else treated me that makes me wrong not the people who didn't really do shit......

I still do service work for old customers of mine and from word of "mouth" referals but I don't run an add cause I don't want to deal with the public in general.......

It's pretty simple if you ask me if you don't like your job or it turns you into an ass change jobs I've done it multiple times ...........what it really boils down to is some people are just assholes regardless of their JOB and their is an equall percent of them in LE as their is in any other profesions.......this whole the job made me do it is a crock of shit plain and simple

I believe he said he was an airplane mechanic/machinist or something.  He knows Micheal Brown personally.  He has taken firearms training classes at the school ran by him and some other LEOs.  He shoots IDPA with Team OPS and probably is around alot of LEOs.  He seemed pretty cool when he responded to me, but he will back Micheal Brown at the drop of a hat even if he personally disagrees.  I have seen evidence of this.

I think they know they are wrong for what they did. If they were not wrong in what they did, they would be able to type it out in a very plain manner for all to see. Everyone would understand and that would be that. They can't do that because they know they did the WRONG thing and they have no way to justify it so they just shut everyone up.

I know we've disagreed before on stuff and hell, we probably will again. I've been married for 9 years now and disagree with my wife all of the time about stuff. I don't BAN her and cut the phone lines and put a 24 hour guard at the house to watch her though.

I bet we'll do business again in the future acman. I just can't for the life of me understand the thought process some of these people have. The worst part is, I didn't think anything going on over on that site was a big deal. No one was yelling, or cussing, or anything like that.

Just goes to show you acman that you are right. Some of us are more mature than others. Like I said, so what if we disagree. Maybe you like 1911's and I like Glocks. Doesn't me we can't shoot both side by side and enjoy a day at the range.

There are so many folks wanting to divide the gun owners and then MB and JP want to pull a stunt like they did on a gun related board.

When the OSA was started,we really had no posting rules as every other site does. Obviously that would not work out as the site grew and we did encounter some problems because of it. Kelly had envisioned the site being run as stated in the (now posted) giudelines. I set forth guidelines in the "classifieds" section but failed to do so for the overall forum. Frankly,I was waiting for some help with drawing them up but little was received because Kelly obviously doesn't spend a large amount of time here.  It is true that there were not rules at first, but there have been some for awhile, partly due to me.  They were not just added as he would make it seem, they were changed to make "those who shall not be spoken of" to be in the wrong. Even though Kelly has given me autonomy to moderate this site as I see fit,I was still leery of stepping on his toes by drafting my own general rules. In hindsight,it was this failure on my part to do that which led to some of the problems. When the rules were recently put into place,sadly,not everyone wanted to conform to them and some things went on behind the scenes that most of you didn't see. I hope this clears up some of the recent confusion and I apologize for any inconvience. We are all friends here,as far as I,and the other moderators are concerned and we will treat you as such and expect you to do the same.  MB has been everything but friendly with people he disagrees with, but alas he is a moderator so it matters not.  I sent him an apology for some thing I said wrong, and he pretty much called me a criminal, anarchist, and law-breaking gun owner.(I could quote him as I have the PM saved.) Overall the positive response has been overwhelming.I haven't seen it, I caught one positive post by "walter something" and it was not locked but removed, as in hid after GMThunder posted in it with a desenting opinion.  Mostly I have seen negative remarks some by those who have been there from the get go like DrBaker. I hope everyone continues to enjoy the site and we have a lot of great Ideas,sponsor giveaways, and special offers in store for the members here in the future. Thanks. J.P.

Comments to this in red.  Also patrickcudd ask them what rule you violated, you didn't bring up content of locked threads.  Maybe they should modify the rules to say "do not bring up anyone who was banned" also.

I guess I feel LEO should be held to at least the same standard if not a higher standard than civilians............ Same as anywhere. I've got in the middle of an OKC police officer's ass one day when he was wrong. It pissed him off big time, took my license, ran a check on me. Of course I came up clean as a whistle. He then ate my ass out about getting into a LEO's ass and told me to never do it again. I told him you haven't been  an officer very long, you'd better quit before it ruins your good Christian ideals. It absolutely floored him, he didn't know what to say.
10 years later I caught him buying a cup of coffee at 7/11. I asked him if he was still active in his church and an OKC police officer. He immediately got paranoid as hell, almost scared. Again the product of the job. You don't work an any job for a period of time without it affecting your outlook in everyday life.
The way you live, the way you look at things, are different from many others. Each person is unique and reacts differently. And I definitely know what stress from a job is. I had a union and the company I worked for both wanting to fire my ass. I was dug in, had my ass covered, and stayed in there like a raging flea on a bull elephant's nuts. Was it worth the fight? As a "man", hell yes.
As an individual, no. It took too much toll on my family but we survived.
Sometimes you have to gut it out, whether you like it or not!

This pisses me off.  That was turning into a pretty good site.  I replied to one of the threads, and received a IM reprimand from J.P.  I sent a IM to Kelly Drown about this bullshit.

I've read the rules, which are new by the way, and cannot figure out why someone cannot ask about what happened.

I think I might go back and post a WTF type of post with a "see ya at arfcom" and see if they ban me for rule violation (which is not listed by the way)

What is really funny is the guy that posted in your thread is in "violation of the rules (at least how they see it)" by asking what happened.

I see what's happening. I'm glad people are seeing the admin staff of OKSHOOTERS for what it really is. It's amazing what happens when we all stand up like this and let our voice be heard. Some of our forefathers would be highly pissed if they knew of the censorship that went on there.
