Patrick he said "good" gun stores in OKC.  I'm not sure there really is one.  If it has to be in OKC I like H&H better than Outdoor Attitude.  I would suggest you make the drive to Yukon and go to Stover Arms.  He's always been real nice.

its hard to beat OA or H&H for selection, even bass pro doesn't have the variaty of either of these stores, of course you don't get the same attitude there.

Price and selection there is hard to beat, but unless you go in there often (They know me, much to my wife's shegrin), their customer service sucks ass!

Agree with the Outdoor Attitude part.  Regarding the Stover Arms part...

I wouldn't be surprised if someone showed up out of the blue at Bill's doorstep and he spent the next hour showing the unexpected stranger every NFA and non-NFA toy in his safe.  However as great as Bill's hospitality and service is, I think this guy's after storefront gunstores he can browse at.  Bill's a kitchen-table FFL/SOT, that I don't think "stocks" anything.  If I'm mistaken and you're just wanting a transfer dealer, they don't come any better then Stover Arms.

I went to Outdoor America the other day looking for Speed Strips for 38/357. The salesman told me they didn't carry them anymore. I then asked if Fred was around and that I would like to talk to him. The salesman then went back LOOKING for the Speed Strips. Fred wasn't there.
He got a real attitude change after I asked for Fred.

The nicest gun store owner is Mark at Brigadoon's.
Del city, right across from the high school.

I've done a lot of buisness with mark, but lately his prices have gotten a bit high, still go in there quite a bit though, just buying less now.

The only place I have shopped in OKC is H&H, I like them, they can be high, BUT they also can have some good buys.

As for help, well people are people whereever you go, some good, some not so good.

As a whole, I have allways been treated well there, and have made a couple good friends.

Maybe some of you OKC guys need to show me around one day.

Thanks for all of the info.  I went to Outdoor America and they were not to bad.  had a good deal on the CR123 batteries.  I also went to Brigadoons.  Mark was very cool.

I goota tell you OK Boys (and gals), I loved Oklahoma, did not want to leave at all.  My friend and all of his friends were great.  Picked up the Sunday Oklahomian for the Classifiedes.  Spoke with realtor (accidently, one of my buddy's friends) as well.  Now if I could only get CLEET to give me some reciprocity for what I do in PA.  We shall see.  My family loved the trip.

My buddy wants me to come back out in the fall for Wannamakers(?)

Thanks to all!!

Oh yeah the big W show in Tulsa is worth the trip.  I'm sure CLEET would give you some credit if not all and only make you take the legal block.  It might not matter though depending on where you go they may make you go through their own academy anyway.

check all the casinos around the metro area, the casinos are always hiring, pay is usally between 8 and 13 bucks an hour and some offer benifits, as for cleet I went through phases 1-2 and 4 for armed, cost around $325 for the courses and with the cost of the  speed check name search the osbi does and three photos the license was about $115 or so, cleet has some consessions for previous LE and security experiance from other states, but not always, I worked with a guy that was a sgt. in san deigo sheriff reserves for 2 years and cleet wouldn't give any credit towards his license, told him he would have to go through their course.

Thanks for the info.  As of right now for my Law Enforcement to transfer I would need to be hired by an agency and they would have to apply with the Recpricity Certification.  I have the time on the job and the schools.  Like I mentioned, Ill be call a few agencies this week.  Of course if anybody has any contacts shot me an email.
