I do have to say of all the places to buy firearms related, armslist was up there on my list.
when did it change? edit: $4 a month if you use your checking account..Or $7 if you use credit card  And no I don’t hate capitalism, LOL |

I had good luck on Armslist the first few years but it slowly devolved like most good buy, sell, trade websites do over time when rising in popularity. I guess they figure the paywall will keep out the shitheels but I wouldn't be surprised if they sunk their own boat with this move.

It was one of the few places you could sell guns besides Lakelink... I don’t mind that they charge so much, But $25 a year or something like that would be more reasonable in my opinion

Just put an email address in the ad. That way non premium members can still contact you. That's what I've done recently and had no issues. I'm kind of shocked i haven't seen this there more often. |

I could see them charging a listing fee, but needing a subscription to even contact a seller is BS.

I tried signing up using my credit card and both times the transaction wasnt finished on their end and I wont link my bank accouunt to anywhere.

I‘ve been using the site since it first started.
Paying to post an ad is understandable but they want twice what I’m willing to pay to be a general participant. I’m seeing plenty of scams being posted already and not convinced that part of it is working. I’d be more worried about the security of my personal information because they’re no doubt a target for hackers. |

any local Wisconsin FF alternatives?
I have a bunch of stuff I want to trade and have been using armlist since the beggining. they have had a few data breaches so not going to pay them. Plust they are doing recurring monthly I'd pay a yearly if not horrible but don't want to worry about a monthly. man this year just blows

I just went on Armslist, and it wants me to upgrade my membership, which I assume means $$ |

Wisconsins Largest Firearms Sales Group WISCONSIN ONLY FIREARMS & AMMO FOR SALE OR TRADE are the two I'm a member of. Both seem to be picking up since armslist shot themselves. Theres also Gunlistings.org |

You know people could actually attach their location to their profiles here and all their classified ads would show up in the hometown EE section.... Kind of like an Armslist, by state and everything. There is literally the option already on this site, but no one takes advantage of it. Blows my mind.

The amount of times you read about people complaining about this in GD is ridiculous. I didn’t mean no one in the absolute most literal context you took it in. I’m glad you have it figured out at least. I wish more did and it actually had the amount of listings it should. Armslist is now at its peak with scam ads and worst functionality ever. I gave in and paid, but I still can’t email users or post an ad. I’ve emailed armslist non stop about this and continue to get the response, “ we are aware of the bugs and hope to have it resolved”. I’m paying for a product I cannot use. It’s pretty cool. Been a user there since it’s creation, but it’s become such a joke. |
