2 months ago I fixed this...

Like this....

Just in case THIS happened...

If I hadn't fixed it, the lake (10 Acre Feet of water) would have removed my neighbors house from his property.

Indeed.  I feel very lucky that I'm not talking to a laywer right now.

That's has to be the best $500 worth of rock and backhoe work I ever spent.

Good job!  A small suggestion:  Get some more rock, slightly larger if available and more quantity, and it will last a long time!

I agree.  The wall on the left is all 2-Man rock... but after seeing this flood, another 5-10 yards might be in order.

Well... it is 40 acres with Water, Solar, Hydro and Wind... with a defendable hilltop.

I think that should do it...

Did you file an environmental impact statement prior to rearranging "your" property. You might be guilty of a "wetlands violation" for destroying the habbitat of some poor defenseless tadpole, or worse yet destroying a democratically sponsored mosquito colony!

It's a seasonal stream and falls outside those regulations, but the dam/levy was scrutinized by the dept of ecology, the state, the county and everybody else you can think of.

All I did was open the spillway to it's orginal capacity.

Luckily I am the new owner (since July) and didn't have to deal with the legal history of this lake... it was unbelievable.  I get the liability going forward, which is why I opened it up.
