Did you find an A1 FH?

ETA: Made after 1978

And you can use A2 Grip if you want to.

There is nothing worng with the serial number. In fact that range is kinda cool, if I read the serial number list correctly, its aversatile number. You can go complete A1 or A2 with FH & PG and still have the slabside.

Nice clean weapon!

Except for the second "large hole".

I swear, someone must of had that barrel stored in their dryer lint collection box.
The first blast of GunScrubber down the barrel left a big wad of lint mung in the breadpan.
The fist pass with the brass brush left the brush full of lint.

I also changed out the pivot screw with a large hole pin.

Went there Saturday afternoon after the 500-yard match at Machias got rained out before I shot the last relay.  Right off the bat I found a nice Nikon 3.5-10x50, perfect for my .22-250, for only $135.  Like a dummy I left it there to cruise around.  Of course it was gone when I realized I should have bought it.
My friend bought a small reflex sight, I walked outta there empty-handed, and we drove back to NCW in the snow & rain.
Currently mid 30's, bright and sunny, and the wife and I are fixin' to go kill pheasants.
