We went to see Serenity with a friend Friday night, at the Supermall.
Dinner at Johnny Rockets was OK, food good, ambience sucked, they kept cranking up the muzac and trying to turn it into a disco... This movie is AWESOME!!! Two ARs up! Our friend likes to enhance the movie going experiance by dressing up. (Well, OK, I let Mrs. Drang do that to me before we were married...) So she's in her brown coat and Indiana Jones hat and you can't really see the holster she has, but I don't think anything of it, until we are sitting in the Red Robin there at the Supermall afterward, having some desert and she says 'Wanna see my gun...?" Of course, being a retired SFC I about choke on the several possible replies that come to mind, when Mrs. Drang, always willing to let a fellow costumer show off, says "Sure" and she pulls out this kinda cute little blaster-thingy made of lucite and an LED or two. (I even refrain from pointing out that a Luger--the holster she was wearing--would be more appropriate for Serenity.) Next thing we know the manager of the restaurant is by or table saying she had a report of a weapon at our ntable and would we please keep it concealed? Which isn't very dramatic, I suppose--in Seattle we probably would have had the SWAT team on us--in Auburn they just ask us to please refrain from showing off. Never mind. |

What's worse is I (we) swear that she told me (us) that her tubes were tied after the twins.  Thought that even posted at one time. Haven't had any luck finding it but just don't have a clue what the original thread was.
