Never been there. Where is it? What is with the "low flying jets" thing?

Steamboat Rock State Park is just south of the Grand Coulee Dam. Our squadron routinely buzzes the campground there at 500 feet and 420 kts. Its the entry point for a low level route down Eastern WA.
Just wondering if anybody has ever seen us...its got to be a loud wakeup when the first wave crosses at 0720... |

Are you talking about the navy jets like the one that clipped powerline down by wenatchee a couple of years ago?

Didn't know about the power lines...I'll have to look into that one.
But yes...the same jets that cut the gondola cable in Italy. We are not allowed to go below 500 feet...most power lines top out at 300. So if some lines were cut then somebody should have been in deep doo doo. |
