What kind of active historical reenactment groups are there in Arizona? I tried Google but there are a number of sites that haven’t been updated in years and look like they might be defunct. I’m sure there is a lot here for western frontier type stuff, but is there anything else around? American Revolution? Napoleonic? Civil War? WWI/WWII?

I loved attending re-enactments when I was a kid and went to a lot of Highland Games, Renaissance Fairs, and Mountain Man Rendezvous. Now that I have the means, I’d love to get into at least one historical era of reenacting but I’m not sure what’s out here and where to start.

Have you looked into cowboy action shooting? Pretty big thing in AZ in general I think. May also lead you in the direction of what you're seeking.

There used to be a Picacho Peak Civil War reenactment every year.

Tombstone has the OK Corral reenactments.

Old Tucson may start doing reenactments again soon.

Did they ever rebuild Old Tucson after the fire?

Yes, I think so.

Pima county owns it now and found a new operator, American Heritage Railways.  I heard they hired a Director and I think they are planning to open back up sometime this year.

The Mescal Movie Set is open again too.

Sounds like mostly Old West stuff, which is more or less what I expected. I like reading about it, but honestly the Post-Civil War Old West is probably the era I am the least interested in reenacting. I’ll have to keep researching and maybe try to network, see if anyone is interested in any other eras.

One of the main ones I knew of is the 'Arizona Civil War Council' group.

They do Revolutionary War, Civil War, Indian Wars, and the Spanish-American War.

I've seen civil war re-enactments up at Pioneer village, next exit north of Ben Avery.

Air show in Buckeye, usually has a large presence of WWII era aircraft, vehicles, equipment, re-enactors, etc

There are a few in Yuma. Names escape me but I'm sure they're based out of the Quatermaster Depot if that helps. I'll edit if I find  some specific.
