Found out for myself. Lots of cool stuff for someone from out of the state, but a little on the small side. Met some REALLY cool guys there. Picked up a new XD-40 at a smokin price from Scottsdale gun center..

Saw something on the 'shady' side though.. A dealer turned away a woman because she was going to buy a weapon for her son who lived in Mexico.. the dealer told the woman this was a felony, and she left.. caused a scene. So... I see her sitting at another booth, filling out paperwork for the same weapon she wanted from the other vendor... I informed the guy who was running the booth about what had happed at the other gentlemans booth....  He shrugged his shoulders and said.. "She says its for her... thats good enough for me..."... WTF?  All for a .22 handgun for $129...

FBW, you must have been standing next to me.., i saw the same thing, that woman had no photo ID, so the dealer flatly refused to sell to her, but in the mean time i bought a Bushy Mil/Leo/Export from him and a friend also got one, in about 10 minutes those Bushys were GONE !!!

Mak,
the reason there is no ammo at a AAA gun show is that AAA won't allow it, & that was what the ammo dealer Miwall told me at the Conv. Cntr. GS

I won't ever give another dime of my money to the Arizona Arms Association! I dealt with them some years ago and they can all go to hell for all I care! Fuck em! No, I won't go into details, but watch your woman around their vice president Gene Gilbert of Gene's Custom Ammo....

I'm assuming that's the AAA you speak of.....

The best shows I believe are the Crossroads of the West shows.  I don't go to the TCC shows as you have to pay parking and entrance fee and it may end up with nothing worthwhile after that.  I will drive to Phoenix for a show at the fairgrounds but never again at the Icehouse.  I believe there is a good show in Phoenix in December at the fairgrounds if the parking lot is resurfaced and it is held in the regular buildings (exhibition buildings?) I will be going on a Saturday.  Those shows are usually 5 times bigger than the Pima County Fairgrounds shows in the Winter.
