Tomorrow is more-or-less booked but Friday isn't.

What is the best way to waste a few hours here?

I've already seen the Khrohn butterfly conservatory, drove all over the place (Mt. Adams is gorgeous....I had no idea this city was so scenic), and basically would just like a few ideas for wasting time here if an hour or two pops up in the schedule.

Thanks in advance.

Come visit me in the county courthouse.  We have some gorgeous courtrooms.  I'm a bailiff.

Very much THIS

I live about 4 miles south of there and still consider it a near religious experience everytime I walk into the beer/wine area.

And to think I thought I was going to get flamed for suggesting a grocery store!!  I live in the Columbus Area, but I love going to that store!  The beer and wine area is larger than most bakeries or meat areas in Kroger or Meijer!!

Guys, don't support Jungle Jim's.  I used to go there often until I realized it is a Criminal Protection Zone.

Thanks guys.

This was a family trip and I didn't have a lot of time to go off exploring on my own, but here's a breakdown of the trip:

Wednesday evening, we went to Mt. Adams, to the butterfly conservatory, then ate at some snazzy fajita place. The name escapes me, but the food was great. Thursday, we went to the 'creation museum'. We had Skyline chil for lunch and Montgomery (?) Inn ribs (and chicken) for dinner that night. Wow!.

Friday, back to skyline for lunch (the chili dogs and chili cheese fries are great) then to Union Terminal to the natural history museum, then to the Cincinnati museum. The WWII exhibit was awesome. I enjoyed the whole museum, actually. That night, we ate at PappaDeaux's. I left stuffed on seafood. Saturday we drove home, after visting the murals in Covington, KY.

This was my first visit to a 'northern' city, and I was throughly impresses by how clean the city was, how easy it was to navigate (after I studied a map for a while), and just how generally nice everything was. The architecture is great. I could have spent a whole day just gazing at buildings (like the jewish temple/RCC church/city hall(?) buildings downtown). I was greatly surprised by how nice the city was overall.

I'm really surprised that I'd never heard of Cincinnati as a tourist destination before. There's a LOT to do there and I can't wait to return. I had a GREAT time.

As a bonus, saturday morning I got to sit around and listen to some WWII vets tell war stories. You can't BUY that kind of experience. I loved it.

When you walk in the entrance, it is on the wall in the middle.

I think you could say that it is not very conspicuous though

it is my understanding that if it is not visible by the entrance, from outside the building, it doesn't count.

Basically, it is the property owner's duty to inform you that CCW is verboten.  If the owner's signs are easily missed, and you didn't see them, then how can you be expected to comply?

I totally understand where you are coming from, but why support a business that thinks we are gun toting maniacs?

Have you aked to talk to the owner about the sign? If they don't know how to post the sign properly they probably don't know anything about it.
