Can anybody suggest a good book or dvd on 1911 smithing? I bought practical gunsmithing,good book but it doesn't  go into great detail on any one weapon except some off the cheaper revolvers and semis.

If you are wanting to rent a few, here's a site that has DVDs on many topics for rent. There are some on the 1911 also and most are $10 rental fee. I plan on renting a few myself.
