as long as there isnt more than 10 on the belt it should be legal right?

No.

The DOJ views linked ammo as a magazine, so since the M60 has a pistol grip and a magazine it is an assault weapon by features. You can however get a semi-auto 1919. While it does have a pistol grip, it doesn't fall beneath the action of the weapon, and as such is not a qualifier for an assault weapon feature.

Look up the M60D (spade grips)

it is legal if you can find one.
